The Powerpuff Girls is a comedy-action animated series produced by Cartoon Net-work Studios under Time Warner. lt premiered in the United States on November 18,1998.

The show follows three perfect little girls with superpowers--Bubbles, Buttercup and Blossom. Bubbles is sweet and cheerful, Buttercup is tough and hot-tempered and Blossom is the team's leader and spokesperson. Together, they form the crime-fighting trio known as The Powerpuff Girls.

In 2001, the series won two honors at the 29th Annie Awards: Best Music in a Television Production and Best Production Design in a Television Production.
